Walking Breaks
The Brecon Beacons has long been a favourite with walkers. We believe it's because of the diversity of the landscape, if you love waterfalls or secluded valleys or even if you love a good hike up a mountain, the Beacons can accommodate all your requirements.
The Draen offers a unique balance between the peace and quiet of a rural setting but it's close enough for those that want a little bit of retail therapy. The historic town of Brecon is only a 10 minute drive and Talgarth is even closer.

Winter walking breaks in the Brecon Beacons
Walking the Brecon Beacons in the winter has a charm and a majesty that no other time of the year can match, fewer people means you're more likely to have your desired walk to yourself. Restaurants and cafes are a little less busy so there is very little waiting for tables etc and parking spaces are easily found.
The Draen has a number of flexible options when it comes to staying in the winter months, short breaks and long weekends can be the order of the day.
4 WATERFALLS WALK
Our featured walk is the ever popular waterfall walk
There are literally hundred's of fantastic walks in the Brecon Beacons but few would argue against, that the 4 waterfalls walk is up there with the best.
A pleasant 30 minute drive from The Draen and you are very close to waterfall heaven, featuring 4 x outstanding waterfalls, one of which you can walk behind, this makes for a great day out.
Not far from these falls, is Henrhyd Falls which featured in the film Batman, as his bat cave, well worth a visit.
